Circulator route across the Anacostia River sought

D.C. Council member Kwame R. Brown (D-At Large) wants the District to extend a Circulator bus route across the Anacostia River down to the Maryland line.

The Circulator buses do two important things: They move people across core parts of the District that need better transportation service and they encourage development of neighborhoods. None of the routes operates east of the Anacostia.

Brown wants the council to endorse extending Circulator service from the Barracks Row and Navy Yard area across the Anacostia and down Pennsylvania Avenue SE to Southern Avenue.
