(February 18, 2011) --- Anacostia River Realty, the Ward 8 real estate firm featured in the D.C. episode of HGTV’s My First Sale, is pleased to host a public screening of the episode, Friday, February 25, 6pm - 9pm at Big Chair Coffee & Grill, located at 2122 MLK Jr. Ave, SE. The screening coincides with Anacostia River Realty’s Second Year Anniversary Celebration, with special guests, the stars of the award-winning soap opera Anacostia - The Series.
HGTV’s casting of Historic Anacostia is further confirmation of the neighborhood’s new status as the “next big thing” in community revitalization. Residents are filled with pride, new businesses are opening, and visitors are discovering the community’s rich history and potential.
For Darrin Davis, owner of Anacostia River Realty, this has been a labor of love. “Since I moved to Historic Anacostia and started selling exclusively in neighborhoods East of the River in 2002, it was always a dream to open up a real estate firm that specialized in this community.
